Course Details

DAY 1: SCENE WORK WITH IMPROVISATION
Sunday, 7 June | 12:00pm - 4:00PM 

  • Receive Scene or Monologue 

  • Scene Breakdown

  • Character breakdown with improvisation

  • Cold Read

DAY 2: REHEARSE AND CAMERA PREPARATION
(Actors should have the scene memorised)
Thursday, 11 June | 6:30pm - 9:30pm

  • Actors will refine their scene

  • Working on blocking, rhythm reactions, and performance choices for the camera.

  • Focussing on truthful performance, timing and screen confidence. 

DAY 3: RECORDING SCENE
Sunday, 14 June | 11:00am - 5:00pm

  • Full Scene direction with blocking

  • Full rehearsal, direction, lighting

  • Record Scene

Classes Led by Suzie Steen — Director & Producer of film & theatre, Actor, Voice Artist, Acting & American Dialect Coach, Presenter with 30+ years industry experience at all levels in Australia & the USA. Former Talent Agent/Manager in Sydney for 25 years.

Movement led by Anja Raith — International actress and professional dancer. Anja has years of experience with breath work, dance, movement and body awareness. She has acted in movies in Europe and Australia.

Director for Showreel (Day 3 only) Quiro — Filmmaker with years of experience in the film industry. He brings cinematic creativity to every project, guiding individuals, brands, and organisations through the journey of bringing their stories to life.
